About me:
My name is Adam Rowland and I am admittedly not an expert when it comes to astrophotography. After spending a great deal of time making my share of newbie mistakes, I’m now starting to actually get some pretty nice images.
By day, I am a web programmer specializing in PhP and MySQL. I’m an avid science fiction fan, and a generally well rounded geek. On a clear night I’ll disappear outside with my collection of toys to enjoy the stars and snap a few pictures.
The night sky is filled with eye candy and amazing sights. The light from star clusters or distant galaxies that I capture in my scope has been on a journey for hundreds, thousands, or even millions of years. These photons paint a picture of far away objects as they appeared in the distant past. The purpose of this site is to share my fascination with the universe by showcasing the images that I have captured through my telescope.
Every session with my telescope feels like a journey through space and time which I can embark upon from the comfort of my backyard or driveway.
Feel free to explore my growing image library. New pictures will be added fairly regularly as more are taken. All of the images in my gallery were taken with my digital camera and telescope.
Cheers,
– Adam
